At-Home Spa Day - DIY STEAM ROOM

A great way to relax at home is to create your own at-home spa. Invest in your favorite masks - we highly recommend DRX SPECTRALITE™ FACEWARE PRO by DR DENNIS GROSS. It is pricy but worth it if you think about how much one treatment costs at a spa and this mask comes with 3 different red and blue light treatment therapies! Post face mask, turn your bathroom into a steam room with these simple steps:

  1. Put a damp towel at the bottom of the door to your bathroom so no cold air can enter or escape

  2. Turn the hot water on in your shower or bathtub (make sure you plug the drain - but also make sure you don’t overflow your shower/tub) and close the shower door or curtain

  3. Wait a few minutes so you allow it to get really hot! Want to make this spa aromatherapy experience? Just add a few sprays of pure eucalyptus oil to your at-home steam and you’ll feel all the same benefits you would get at that luxury spa. (click here to buy the eucalyptus oil we use).

  4. Run cold water from your sink so you can also wet a towel for your face!

  6. p.s. can get very hot and steamy so wouldn’t recommend doing more than 10 or 15 minutes at a time. You can always shut off the hot water and then turn it back on after you cool down.
